Our Farm

Picture
Mayo Livestock are produced at “Buncrana”, 40kms South-East of Texas and 100 km west of Tenterfield. The Dumaresq River forms the south-western boundary and the property moves from the river flats to ridge and valley country in an East/North-Easterly aspect. This 4500 acre (1840 ha) property consists of a variable soil type, from excellent river loam flats and 200 ha of good quality traprock soils, to a red scrub-type soil on the slopes in the centre of the property.

This range of country and associated pasture types allows us to diversify our livestock management, harnessing the fertile river flats for our Stud Red Angus cattle and Saanen Milking Goats, while the slopes are home our Stockhorses and our Red Brangus and Meat Goat herds.
